Yes you Can root ls-5017 with ease ....but for that to work .....you have to install Custom Recovery on your Phone .
1) Download TWRP (Custom Recovery) From Here
2) Then Download Latest Magisk Installer from Here
3) Now Shut Down Your Phone .(Switch Off)
4) Go to Phone Recovery (By Pressing Volume Up + Power Button)
5) Select Read Only
6) Select Install and Browse for Downloaded File (Magisk-v17.3.rar)
7) After Install is Complete Select Reboot Now .
8) And your Device is Rooted .
